British by birth, based in Rio de Janeiro. Mandelbrot cut his teeth on the dancefloors of Cream, Sankeys and Bugged Out before moving behind the decks himself — years spent promoting parties on both sides of that divide, learning what actually makes a room move.

That grounding turned into a career that now spans the globe — from Iceland to Thailand, the UK to Ibiza, Croatia to Latin America. Different rooms, different crowds, same instinct.

Now head of 4AM, where the same instinct plays out through music: repetition, recursion, small variations building into something bigger — the same idea the name comes from.

At 19, he moved to Chicago chasing house music at the source — a formative move that shaped everything that followed.

Beyond his own sets, Mandelbrot has produced Audio Sonic Vision with JELLYFISHMOON — a 360 visuals and full dome production, created in conjunction with the American Museum of Natural History and Arts Council England. He also ran Demented Disco alongside Larry Sosa, and founded the underground club Missing Persons Bureau. He's a regular guest DJ at Tussle, Manchester's long-established house event.

He's shared the decks with the likes of Joe Goddard, Alistair Whitehead, Delano Smith, Kiwi and Ralph Lawson, and played festivals from Cirque Magique in Belgium to Beatherder in Lancashire.
